Terms of Service

Locale is a discovery platform that connects families with local youth activity programs. We provide search tools, listings, and contact features. Locale is not a party to enrollment agreements between parents and program providers.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Parent accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian. Business accounts must be created by an authorized representative of the program or organization being listed.

• Business listings require a flat fee of $60 per year for platform visibility, unless otherwise stated during signup or promotional periods.
• Listings are subject to review and must accurately describe the program, schedule, pricing, location, and age ranges served.
• You are responsible for keeping your listing current and responding to parent inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Locale may deactivate listings that violate these Terms, contain false information, or remain unpaid after the listing period expires.
• Listing fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated at purchase.

• Parent accounts are free to create and use.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide about yourself and your children.
• Saved programs and search features are provided for convenience; Locale does not guarantee availability, pricing, or suitability of any listed program.
• You agree to contact programs directly and verify details before enrolling your child.

Locale is built on a community-first approach. The Sidelines community spaces — whether on the Platform or affiliated channels — exist to support local families and program providers respectfully. When participating, you agree to:

• Treat other users with respect and avoid harassment or discrimination
• Not post content that is unlawful, misleading, exploitative, or harmful to minors
• Not spam, solicit unrelated services, or impersonate others
• Not share private information about children without consent

We may remove content or restrict access to The Sidelines and other Platform features for violations of these guidelines.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant Locale a license to display, host, and promote it on the Platform. We may review, edit, or remove listings, photos, descriptions, or other content that we believe violates these Terms, applicable law, or community standards. We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access accounts or data without authorization
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt Platform operations
• Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or program offerings

You may stop using Locale at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for users, or harm the Platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ends immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms will survive.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." LOCALE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT LISTINGS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. WE DO NOT ENDORSE ANY PROGRAM AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE QUALITY, SAFETY, OR LEGAL COMPLIANCE OF THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCALE AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LOCALE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
